The Millbrook Blazers Varsity Football Team took on the West Sullivan Bull Dogs for their first home game of the season on Friday, Sept. 27th. The Dutchess Day School 8th grade soccer team, or “White Tigers”, won the annual DDS 7 a side tournament on Friday. The team won all of its 5 games in extraordinary fashion en route to a 1-0 championship victory over Poughkeepsie Day School. Each player played pivotal roles in the team’s success. The afternoon of September 27, teams from nine schools participated in the Dutchess Day School annual 7-a-side Soccer Tournament. Organized by Athletic Director, Nigel Pink, the tournament brings communities together to raise money for a good cause. The proceeds this year of $1,143, were donated to Hudson River Housing’s homeless shelter in Poughkeepsie.
