Sunday was an ideal day for a marathon -  sunny with the temperature in the 60’s. In fact it was so perfect that I might have considered running myself. Or not. 

A children’s triathlon (swim/bike run) as well as a one mile run were the first events of the morning. The children’s events were followed by a 5K walk/run and an eight mile run both of which went off together....

This week was the State Qualifier meet.  Mary-Kate Bida qualified for the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:04 minutes.  She will be competing in Middletown next Friday against all 3000 meter runners in N.Y. State.  She also competed in the 1500 meter, but came in second with a time that did not qualify for the meet.
