Heathcote defeats Shekomeko in the finals of the Eddie Moore tournament at Mashomack. Both teams have met in the finals for the past two years.  Heathcote won in 2011.  Shekomeko was the victor in 2012.  When the game was stopped on Sunday in the fifth chukker because of rain, Heathcote was ahead by one goal.  When play resumed on Tuesday, Heathcote won 14 – 5. The Fitch’s Corner Event last weekend was a triumph. Of the 333 horses entered, 280 were stabled in tents at the farm. 350 competitors, hosted by the Lofgren Agency's, came to the Meet the Champions buffet on Friday evening at which four Olympic riders served as celebrity bartenders.
