NJ corporation offers cell tower in Millbrook
After receiving a brief proposal for the construction of a cell tower in Millbrook, the Village Board reviewed materials from Capital Telecom and decided more information was necessary before the village could consider the idea.
The New Jersey-based corporation develops commercial and retail properties and constructs and leases cell towers. Telecom proposed constructing a tower on a village-owned 60 by 60-foot parcel with a 15-year lease.
Under the proposal, the village would receive $1,000 per month, rent would increase by three percent per year, and the lease would come with a five-year option. The tower would take six to 12 months to construct and come at no cost to the village.
