Richard Wager, candidate

Richard Wager

After Dutchess County Republican committees chose Millbrook’s Richard Wager to run for Marcus Molinaro’s vacant seat in the New York State Assembly, Wager announced a campaign focused on tax relief and stabilizing small businesses in order to reverse “economic degradation” in the state.

The 103rd District comprises 22 Dutchess and Columbia County municipalities, including Washington, Amenia, and Stanford. Both Wager and his opponent, Didi Barrett are residents of Millbrook. Despite their local ties, Dutchess County tax rolls indicate that both candidates’ tax bills are sent to their respective Manhattan apartments.
