The political news is that our very own sheriff, Butch Anderson, is now a player on the national scene as one of three Honorary Co-Chairs of Trump’s New York leadership team. Congressman Chris Collins and Carl Paladino, a Buffalo businessman and a past candidate for Governor are the other two. There is a long list of co-chairs that includes Republican Party county chairmen. With that kind of backing it is hard to imagine any other Republican making much of a dent in the primary on April 19 as they have direct access to party regulars and are adept at getting out the vote.
From the list of county chairmen that are already committed to Trump, it looks as if he has an effective New York team in place. Democratic county chairmen may have their work cut out for them.
