The Millbrook Farmers Market opened Saturday, May 28. This year it promises to be better than ever under the new management team of Chelsea Edson and Ian Daly, who say they hope to make the Saturday event “a central hub for the community, where residents get together to catch up with one another as they buy their locally produced foods and crafts.”
Chelsea and Ian, who grew up in Millbrook and graduated from Millbrook High School, met ten years ago when they were both coaching children’s soccer. They now live in Rhinebeck with their 10-year old English Springer Spaniel, Skyline. Chelsea is an online communications coordinator for a local law firm and Ian is works in professional sales.
New features include cooking demonstrations, health and wellness information, and contests and games for children. As always, entertainment will be provided every week by a musician or group. Many familiar vendors have returned and Ian and Chelsea are continuing to sign up new comers.
The Market will be open every Saturday from 9-1 through the end of October.
