Market Kitchen Opens at Marona's

For those of us who hate to cook, help is finally at hand thanks to Dan Kish’s Market Kitchen that opened Friday at Marona’s..  

Kish is filling the handsome kiosk opposite the meat counter with delicious prepared meals at reasonable prices. For $20 you can get a main dish as well as a side dish that serves two to three people. The attractive plastic and aluminum containers can be recycled; the others, made out of sugar cane by a French company, are biodegradable. 

The idea, Kish says, “is to keep the good food we have available in Millbrook here in Millbrook. We’re working with farmers who want to keep it local by selling to us as opposed to sending it away.”  Everything is labeled things as to the ingredients and what farms they come from.

Mondays through Thursdays the meals are designed for people don’t want to do much more than reheat something in the microwave or oven. On weekends the Market Kitchen will provide dishes for effortless entertaining – all one might need for a small diner of six people.  

Also worth mentioning are their all-natural rotisserie chickens which will be available every day.
