How to find the perfect gift

When you are a little bit stumped, or even at a loss to locate the right Christmas gift, you need only to put yourself through the door of your local bookseller where there are people who will provide the appropriate advice. This is true of our three local stores in Millbrook, Millerton, and Rhinebeck. We are lucky to have independent, amiable booksellers who are knowledgeable. One will not receive the big corporate shoulder shrug.  Kira Wizner, the new owner of Merritt Books in Millbrook, as well as encyclopedic Dick Hermans from Millerton Oblong and his daughter Suzanna Hermans of Rhinebeck Oblong, have provided TMI with a general suggested list, yet they would be delighted to offer anyone more specific recommendations that offer more personal tailoring.
