Today I’m renovating my study,
solarizing my words and diction,
solarizing my philosophic outlook,
solarizing my mood and behavior.
I am a sunnier person
and the proof of it is
that I sit in splendiferous umbra,
drinking wine in communion
with the sun and the universe,
as well as the words I speak.
I urge you to solarize.
I have nothing to gain
from this energy-renewal process,
but everything to lose—
if everyone solarizes their words,
then there would be
no purpose for poetry,
since everyone would utter poetry
to children, spouses, and churches.
Do not employ another company
for your solarization.
Solarize yourself, family, and friends.
Let me know how sunny you’ve become.
