Susan Blakewell, author of How to Live, A life of Montaigne (a Reid Book Club selection) has turned her talents to the existentialists, writing what seems part novel and part history. Her new book, At the Existentialist Café: Freedom, Being and Apricot Cocktails, is being released March 3 in Britain. It was reviewed in the international Wall Street Journal’s Weekend Edition. It is an historical approach to Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Camus and others, exploring their personalities and their relationships. It can be ordered on-line and via Amazon for US delivery.
