Charlotte’s Restaurant on Route 44 between Millbrook and Amenia has always been a lovely place to dine, outdoor in the summer and indoors in the winter, but I had never before seen their impressive high ceiling catering hall with its magnificent open hearth fireplace where a special Valentine’s event was held this week. “The Night of Cupid’s Wedding” was performed during dinner by Murder Café, Frank and Kristen Marquette who “bring theater to you’. This Valentine themed comedy-mystery was performed interacting with willing audience members. At one point most of the guests danced the Conga around the tables. The crowd clearly enjoyed the show, especially the fans who came dressed in togas and drove over from Connecticut for the occasion. There was a choice of three menus, my daughter loved her bouillabaisse and we the pork shank.
