Hudson Valley Philharmonic 40th Annual String Competition 10 a.m., 3:00 p.m. In the morning, three semifinalists perform in a recital, three chosen as finalists, free and open to the public. First round auditions, free and open to the public. In the afternoon three finalists perform in a recital, a winner is chosen and reception follows; free.
